do you not get scared out on your own?

If anyone tells you they aren't on edge, they're either lieing or not wired quite right. Before I pitch the tent i'll sit in an area for a while and simply observe. I look for routes people are taking, are there any drones flying around and assess any potential issues with the area. for example, if i'm near a river and it's due to rain, is it a flood risk? in woodland are there any leaning trees / loose branches that could squish my beloved steak and beer, you know, the important things. It never hurts taking some time to ensure your pitch is going to remain your peaceful little nook in the wild. Rarely I get scared but i'd say i'm always somewhat alert.
